The hourly rates payable for providing legal representation in CJA matters will increase from $164 to $172 for non-capital work and from $210 to $220 for capital work performed on or after January 1, 2024. The case compensation maximum amounts (excluding expenses) for non-capital representations will also increase from $9,100 to $9,600 for direct criminal appeals and from $2,700 to $2,900 for appeals of other matters.
