Pursuant to the attached General Order dated March 13, 2025, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit will continue to operate during any government shutdown caused by a lapse in appropriations. Pursuant to Judicial Conference policy, the court will continue all activities necessary to the exercise of the judiciary’s constitutional functions.
Oral arguments scheduled to take place during the court’s March 2025 term of court (March 17-20, 2025) will proceed as scheduled. Arguing counsel shall appear in person at the Byron White United States Courthouse in Denver, Colorado.
Case-management deadlines will not be automatically extended due to a shutdown. Parties remain obligated to timely comply with such deadlines and all requirements of the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and the Tenth Circuit Rules, but the court will consider on a case-by-case basis requests for extensions of time or for other relief necessitated by a government shutdown.
