Change to Docket Entry Numbering Effective Monday, September 9, 2024

Wednesday, September 4, 2024

Effective next Monday, September 9, 2024, users of our ECF system will see docket numbers for entries on our electronic dockets.  Docket entries will be sequentially numbered similar to district court dockets. The numbers for public docket entries with documents attached will be hyperlinked to those documents (1). Entries without documents attached will be numbered without a hyperlink (2). The numbers for docket entries with sealed documents attached will display the padlock icon as a visual indication that one or more of the attached documents is sealed (3).

Please note, CM/ECF users may see docket-numbering gaps for docket entries created prior to September 9, 2024. The gaps are an unavoidable consequence of enabling CM/ECF's docket-numbering function, and they are NOT an indication that anything of public record has been removed or is otherwise missing from the docket. There should be few or no gaps for docket entries created on and after September 9, 2024.
