Appointment of U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Utah

Salt Lake City, UT -- On Friday, September 4, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit appointed Honorable Kevin R. Anderson to the bankruptcy bench for the District of Utah.

Judge Anderson was previously the Standing Chapter 13 Trustee for the District of Utah, a position he held for seventeen years. He earned his Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark law School at Brigham Young University where he graduated cum laude. After law school he clerked for Honorable David Naugle at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, before going into private practice.

Honorable Kimball Mosier, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Utah, administered the oath to Judge Anderson this morning. Judge Anderson will have chambers in Salt Lake City.

The Tenth Circuit, with administrative headquarters in Denver, Colorado, encompasses the states of Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming.
