Appointment of U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Kansas

Wichita, KS -- On Friday, July 24th, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit appointed Honorable Mitchell L. Herren to the bankruptcy bench for the District of Kansas.
Judge Herren was previously with the Hinkle Law Firm in Wichita, Kansas where he specialized in commercial and complex litigation. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Law School.
Honorable John Brooms, U.S. District Judge for the District of Kansas, administered the oath to Judge Herren this afternoon. Judge Herren will have chambers in Wichita. Judge Herren replaces Judge Robert Nugent who retired from the bench on June 30.
The Tenth Circuit, with administrative headquarters in Denver, Colorado, encompasses the states of Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming.
